Yeah, I wasn't aware she had cancer. This made me sad. She was far too young. I lost my dad at 63 and I'm still bitter he didn't get the extra 15 - 20 years I feel he deserved.

I don't think it was, which makes sense if they just wanted privacy. I mean, they are scientologists so who even knows, but I'd like to think they wanted to max their time as a family and try to get through.

57 is definitely too young. My maternal grandma died at 60 from cancer and my mom had me when she was 20 so it worked out that my grandma got to *be* a grandma for almost 16 years.
