I feel awful for everyone who loves Naya, losing a loved one in this circumstance is one of my worst nightmares

not to sound morbid, but don't bodies in water come up on their own after some time?

5 to 7 days, usually. However, at this lake there are a bunch of other factors that could keep her body under longer if she’s in the lake.

I'm thinking the body can be tangled in plants etc. underwater. If she got stuck when she went down she might have panicked and gotten even more tangled?

1. Lake Piru is approximately 130ft deep (40 meters). Now you might not really understand how deep that is, but as an example,; The Statue of Liberty is around 46 meters tall. pic.twitter.com/dPiZyipfWn

3. Visibility.

As you can see from the top photo, clear visibility. You can swim/dive and see everything. The bottom photo is like Lake Piru, low visibility and even a flashlight will not be useful. You would have 0 visibility at night. pic.twitter.com/knSiHNNC53

I hope the weird teens on twitter see this. They are so convinced that they know how to best solve this case. Unfortunately, the tweet by Heather will just encourage them to spread their weird theories.

They’ve been ignoring anything that doesn’t help them spin conspiracy theories so I have zero hopes for this to calm them down 😓

this is so painful. i really hope she’s found soon. can’t imagine how harrowing the lack of closure must be for her family and loved ones right now.
