Of these, I'm probably gonna check out Miss Juneteenth and Babyteeth asap.

We watched North by Northwest for the first time the other day, and I enjoyed it even if the plot was kind of secondary to the capers. Loved the score, and can see how it influenced a lot of other later films.

Continuing our Mr. Robot watch - we're a few episodes into S4, and just finished the Christmas Eve ep. Loved seeing Roberta Colindrez (aka Joan from Fun Home) pop up, even if it was just for a couple minutes, and Jon Glaser was hilarious. [Spoiler (click to open)]I like the show, but I really don't care about any of the characters on a personal level - maybe because it's so plot driven. Still can't believe they killed Angela in the first ep of the season - what a bummer her whole character arc turned out to be.

Still working on The Great as well - having a hard time getting invested in it, but it has its moments, and we're over halfway done so we're definitely gonna finish it. We watched episode six last night and [Spoiler (click to open)]I had to close my eyes when they threw the dog off the roof

I really want to watch Miss Juneteenth but I bet it will make me cry. Also, I'm surprised there's another western film about the Holodomor. Wasn't there one a few years ago staring Max Irons?

And the last film I watched was The Florida Project for my film club and I hadn't seen it since it was in theatres and wow, what a film

National Theatre Live is streaming Small Island this week (based on the book by Andrea Levy). I've just started The Long Song for the June reading challenge so I'm on an unintentional Andrea Levy theme this week.

Other than that I've most been watching Patriot Act and Explained on Netflix.

I finished Schitt’s Creek. I need to go back and look at posts but they’re going to do more episodes right? I know they’re not doing full seasons but that wasn’t a series finale!

Also my husband has been watching that dumb John Krasinski CIA show. Holy shit it’s bad. They must assume their audience has an average IQ of about 40.

What season did you finish? For US Netflix I believe they only have up to season five

The show is over though, the season six series finale aired maybe a month or so ago
