devoured the first three episodes of this. Schlafly's tactics are so nakedly cynical and infuriating. Tracey Ullman continues to be a total chameleon.

It is incredible that the GOP continues to use her playbook from 1971 and it is still absurdly effective.

cate blanchett is the most compelling actor i've ever seen tbh. even a shot of her sitting there doing nothing is captivating as hell. i think she can do anything....except convey warmth lol

IA tbh, I'm not familiar with PS in motion, but I know that kind of seemingly untreatening sinister sickly sweetness in these conservative women, and Cate is just too regal to convey that. I believe Cate Blanchett can conquer America, but I'm not sure that's what her character is supposed to look like.

I mean, PS was basically an american umbridge, so the combination of faux-social feminine rectitude and a vicious desire to wield power is what Cate should be going for. i know what you mean about sickly sweetness, but the queen of these types of covens are full of steel and they show it when they want.

Im just glad i finally get to see Rose Byrne as Sharon Tate (cuz you know she looks way more like her than Gloria Steinem.)
