"I love moms so much. If I talk about it too much I'll start crying. I just think moms are so selfless day in and day out -- women are just killing it all the time”

Thing is, lumping it together with all this woo bullshit does the exact opposite of de-stigmatizing. How cool would it have been for her to say, "Breastfeeding is normal, and by photographing me doing it, you're helping make people see it as normal. Currently it's stigmatized or it's treated as something only crunchy elitist hippies do, and that is some bullshit."? But instead she blathered on about "un-schooling" and putting moms on a pedestal. Decoupling breastfeeding from woo GOOP-y bullshit is the first step in destigmatizing it, IMO.

fair point. i guess i just think how the majority of people won't even read the article but will see an image of a woman breastfeeding her child but you're right, it's not just the image but also what she says...which, now reading it after a full nights sleep, is not that helpful

Ikr, I thought I was pretty immune to dumb celeb baby names but holy shit. Winter Mercy sounds like a death metal band.

I cannot imagine any reality where she's married to Ryan Reynolds.

We wouldn't have to suffer him/his acting/Deadpool if this would have happened.

Every time someone's like "I'm an empath" I'm like "Are you though, or do you just see other people being upset and then try to figure out how to make that situation all about your feelings?"

Like, yes, some people pick up on the emotional states of those around them more than others but anytime someone is like "I personally am more sensitive" and turns it into a character trait, I immediately become suspicious.

Yeah, I find "empaths" to be really self-centered and attention-seeking.

With people who claim they're sensitive, I tend to find that they're really shitty people who don't want to be held accountable for being shitty. They're the most insensitive to other people.

I’ve actually noticed this kinda recently. I knew someone who would say they’re just so sensitive and have ~too many feels. But it was only for movie people, never for people in their actual life like their family. It was really strange.
