Yes. Dated an OHLer in highschool and was friensd with many of his friends who would go on to the NHL. Dated an NHLer in university. He played in a different city than I went to school in but I lived in an NHL city so his friends on that team became my friends.

I experienced horrific things during those times. I saw horrific behaviour. I watched the "nice guys" of the team do terrible things. And the ones who didn't (that I know of) are all aware of the behaviour but none of them speak out.

When Sidney Crosby, or who the fuck ever you think of as perfect, decides to speak out then maybe I'll change my mind but for now, fuck all of them and anyone who supports them.

I don't know why the onus is on Sid and not the actual douchebags in the NHL? Sid puts his head down and plays. You may not respect that but he isn't the "big statement" guy. Never has been and never will be. I don't even know (if you know of Sid) why anyone would expect that of him?

You want to bring the movie industry into it? Then he's just as bad as the A-list actors who didn't use their power speak out about Harvey Weinstein. But unlike the movie industry, the NHL has no women in power positions who can speak out. If I came forward with everything I've experienced, I would deal with death threats. Just look at what you and your idiot hockey fans on tumblr are saying about me for just barely scratching the surface.

You are projecting your own fantasies on reprehensible men who don't give a fuck about women. There is so much horrific shit going on behind the scenes within the NHL and you'll never hear about it because they're protected and people like you only help with that.
