I don't see the appeal at all. She can't act and whenever I see her, I think of her struggle singing 'On My Own' on Dawson's Creek.

I was watching The Gift the other night and her acting is pretty bad, esp Compared to the heavy hitters in that movie. Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves, Hilary Swank, Giovanni Ribisi, Greg Kinnear, etc.. she kinda stood out (not in a good way) among them. Her accent was pretty distracting too. Don't get me wrong, I loved her as Joey and I was a major Pacey and Joey fan and still am, but she does kinda fall flat with acting.

I do kind of enjoy some of her movies tho. I like Teaching Mrs. Tingle lol

I really liked her as Joey in Dawson's creek. Years ago, I cought an episode and only could watch a bit because all the characters were annoying and pretentious, I'm old lol.
I'm curious about her whole relationship with Tom Cruise, how it went so far and finally she managed to get away with her child. It's also cool that she protects her daughter's privacy, it bothered me how that woman who had a blog was making money using Suri's name.

Some People think she was paid and on a 5 year contract (LOL) and that Tom relied on some articles where Katie was saying she was in love with him in lots of interviews to go after her. I think even her character Joey on DC even said she wanted wanted to marry him. And that is how he recruited her and lured her in. Made her believe she was marrying her childhood crush and that he felt the same to sucker her in or something like that. The theories are so wild. Esp the theories surrounding Suri's paternity.

Katie's dad is a very well respected divorce lawyer in Toledo, Ohio. Or was, I'm sure he's retired now. But I'm sure that had something to do with her flawless escape

She is great in the right roles. Like the above commenter said, Dawson's, The Gift, Pieces of April. I thought she was good in Batman Begins too.

However, as a Katie stan for 20+ years, I can assure she she has always, always been boring. xD I love her though.
