I've watched a little of the impeachment trial but it all seems so futile, idk.

I was engrossed with the House impeachment hearings because of what the actual witnesses had to say. It still baffles me (but why am I surprised) that Sondland threw EVERYBODY under the bus with his testimony yet he's still employed?!

But the Senate trial is such a shambolic screwball farce that Idk if I can bring myself to do more than follow the debrief and recaps. I never expected the Senate to vote to remove, but for McConnell and the GOP and the WH lawyers to be so Keystone Kops about all of it is very discouraging. Even the rules are stupid.

It's futile because Congress won't be the ones to hold him accountable, but keeping this level of scrutiny on trump will cause him to spin out of control and damage himself. Narcissists loathe people too stupid to call them on their shit, that's why they always push the boundaries and get caught.
