I hate CGI. It's best in very small doses IMO and I think the choice not to use it for Baby Yoda and go for a puppet instead is what makes him so adorable. They used the CGI for less important stuff (like the cat thing that scares him) and kept him a puppet and that was the smartest thing they did. Thank you Werner Herzog for not letting them stray.

It's also why Darren Aronofsky's mother!, apart from its general inanity, didn't work for me. Some actual physical effects to show [Spoiler (click to open)]the world regenerating would have been much better visually and less artistically empty.
