I kind of got arrested before, but not really. When I was seven or so my mom (jokingly) told me to walk to my grandma’s house after I was rushing her. So while she was in the shower I actually got up and left. I made it two blocks before the police pulled over and asked me where I was going. I said my grandmas house and they asked me where that was. I told them and they were like “that’s too far, get in the car, we’re taking you home”. I got scared so instead of getting in I ran back home and the police followed me. I locked the door behind me and didn’t have a key, so I had to knock on the door for my mom to come open it. 😫😫😫

She obviously was pissed that the cops were outside her house.

And then there was a time earlier this year where the police told me I was doing something illegal when I wasn’t and ran my ID. They told me they were keeping me “safe”. My mom called the precinct to see why they stopped me and they said I looked like an at-risk youth aka black. That was lowkey traumatizing since I was doing nothing but walking.

lol so true. someone i knew had their dog stolen and i was able to find the dog and get it back bc the idiot was not only walking it around the neighborhood he stole it from, but he had a tattoo of a crown right in the center of his forehead. i was stopping random people on the street describing the dog and they all kept describing the guy with the crown tattoo. i went to every bodega and left his description with my phone number on a post it and that night a bodega owner called me back to come asap lolll. bless that ugly crown tattoo tbh
