In order to qualify for the Spirit Awards the film needs to have a budget less than $22.5 million, and Hustlers budget was $20.7 million

Wait Awkwafina missed out on Best Female Lead? I know how ONTD feels about her but I’m sorry that’s a snub. I hope JLo and Zhao Shuzen both get into Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.

I'm concerned about Awkwafina not getting a nom because that's kinda discouraging looking ahead to Oscar nominations. Asians are ridiculously uncommon in the actor categories and I really want this for her. Fingers also crossed for Zhao Shuzhen

Parasite is in the Best International category. Only "American" films (as they define it) are eligible for the Best Film category.
