My parents both loved Motown, so I grew up listening to it. They had a lot of great taste in music, tbh!

That's disappointing re: Sinema.

Sinema voting for 53% of Trump's bullshit? She should fuck off with that shit.

Also, Trump's a criminal. People calling for him to be locked up should be seen as normal and not partisan. He has committed many crimes, therefor, he needs to be locked u.

Sis, Ilhan's always been cool with picking and choosing which human rights violators she takes firm stands against and which ones she'll help sweep the violations under the rug: Erdogan, Afwerki, etc. The fact that she's parroting Turkish points like the Armenian Genocide not having "academic consensus" is her usual way of doing foreign policy.

She's claiming it's because sanctions hurt civilians but apparently Kurds aren't civilians to her?? And she's the only Democrat who went against the sanctions.

Also not recognizing genocide against Armenians. Clearly someone is playing for Erdogan's side. It's pathetic.

Has anyone asked these candidates who think there should still be private insurance alongside free healthcare why anyone in their right mind (who wasnt rich) would still want to pay out of pocket costs if they didnt have to? Other than their fave doctors purposely not accepting MFA (which would absolutely happen as it does currently with Medicaid)

Allowing private insurance to exist is absolutely going to create a two tier system of healthcare.

I get the concern about unions but the solution to that should be built in the transition period where unions can renegotiate contracts and stuff so maybe union members can get other benefits in place of health insurance. Like pensions or something.

Neither Liz or Bernie can adequately explain how their versions are going to be paid for. She's still working on the numbers and yesterday he said he didn't owe anyone any explanation. If we're going to be real, neither of their plans will pass Congress and the Senate if McConnell still holds the majority in the Senate.

I'm not supporting Biden, I'm saying that this worry about a two tier system is hardly a concern. They first have to be elected and then get the program thru Congress which is unlikely at this point. Even if the Dems do take the Senate, both plans will raise taxes on the middle class and Congress isn't going to go along with that as their first step after getting control again. "Elect the Dems, they raise your taxes." There go the midterms.
