[Recurring theme, when a panel member brings up another candidate re/platform differences, Cory says he won’t tear down the character of other candidates. Specifically says this about Biden and Beto.]
Sunny starts, this is the most diverse candidate pool but according to NYT the front runners are white men, some cross talk about Warren, but NYT is source. Cory says leader this early in the polls has never gone on to be the nominee, cites examples Carter, Clinton1, Kerry, Obama, Clinton2. He says that there are so many of us, that things are getting diluted. Iowa is about organizing on the ground, he and Warren lead with the best teams. Biggest issue is to get enough money to stay in the game. Whoopi isn’t a poll-person, she’s a people person, people need to vote and participate in caucuses. CB mentions Wisconsin and how small the margin of loss was, re/black voters who didn’t participate. Need to energize the black voters.

Abby wonders if the country will come together after impeachment. Vindman tried to get them included, but WH refused. Joy mentions 18 ½ minutes missing from Nixon tapes. Sunny says it shouldn’t be called a transcript, only a memo. Sen Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is frustrating folks for her bipartisan takes, such as opposing impeachment inquiry, supporting appointment of AG William Barr. Whoopi says this is a surprise, they forgot that most GOP or Dem had duality, trying to do what’s right for their state or country. Anyone? Bueller? Meghan says she likes her. She ran left, but has come out moderate. Has 62% approval. Shows clip. Sinema was clapping T45. Fellow Senator Jacky Rosen, who was also sorta golf-clapping, stood up and (according to Meghan) trying to intimidate Sinema, and says “watch your back”. [As a semi-lip reader Rosen doesn’t say that, but ok]. Sinema voted 20% 53% of the time for T45 (Joy source said 20%, Sunny says 538.com has 53%). Abby brings up Romney, whose approval has gone down. Joy likes Romney for going after T45. Abby and Meghan like her. Meghan thought Sinema would be leftist but she likes her. Whoopi brings up Sanders who is not now nor has he ever been a Democrat.

She’s 73 yrs old, looks great, was happy to follow the handsome Cory Booker, talks about a bill he helped pass. Whoopi wrote the forward to her new book. Whoopi wonders if Mary knew they were knocking ceilings down. MW says they knew, because black wasn’t beautiful yet (her phrasing) and the civil rights bill hadn’t passed yet. Says tv helped a lot. Talks about how the era was really different and her book talks about how times really have changed. Abby brings up Dancing With The Stars. MW says being on DWTS gave a chance for older entertainers to show they’re still out there, getting it done. Whoopi says the Supremes and Diana meant the world to so many of (the black community), talks about her gratitude.
