Is it any surprise though? Look at the rise of women centered projects the past few years that get hype and/or acclaim, it's mostly all starring white women. Big Little Lies, that Megyn Kelly movie, and the upcoming Elizabeth Holmes movie, etc. I feel like every list of new book releases that I see features a novel about a well off white woman who's deeply upset about some shit that's her own damn fault, with a shallow nod to her being "woke" somewhere in the book.
And of course content created by white women would feature men of color while ignoring WOC, lbr.
there's very little media about/featuring specifically lesbian characters these days. it's all been subsumed into the larger "wlw" umbrella. whilst i realise bisexual women and lesbians aren't in competition with each other, share experiences, etc it really grates.
