I watched that last weekend and agreed. The rest of the movie was pretty standard horror imo but that ending...came out of nowhere. I really enjoyed it lol.

Yeah I saw it the other night and I loved the ending. Wasn't a big fan of the rest but the whole ending was great.

I just finished it and it wasn't bad. Decent ending esp with the "doctors" in the end.

Not sure why The Endless is on a horror list. It is way more science fiction and was not scary just plain weird.

The first Creep was good because it gradually went from creepy to really creepy. Should left it at that though because Creep 2 was boring.

I feel like everytime The Witch is mentioned on here it's widely hated. It's definitely one of those take it or leave it (though I enjoyed it for what it was)

I didnt really "get" The VVitch until I turned on subtitles in English.

It helped understand wtf they were saying.

That said, I'm still not too sure about the beginning of the movie but I do love the middle to the ending.

Oh yeah, I was so glad I didn't see that in the theater, their accents were really think and subtitles were a lifesaver!

Once I understood what they were saying, it was great.

The Witch is in my opinion, wrongly categorized as a horror movie (even though it kind of is). I think it was marketed as straight horror but it's like the slowest burn ever. But the last 30 min of the movie make up for the wait tbh.

I haven't watch any horror film this October idk I just haven't really felt like it all, but I did re-watch The Haunting of Hill House and Over the Garden Wall and read 2 horror books so I do get some type of horror this october :P

edit: Malevolent was a AWFUL film! Do NOT recommend!!

But you've been counting down to Halloween all year! I watched OTGW for the first time this month and I liked it (hence my icon)

I'm a big fan of The VVitch, It Follows, and The Invitation. Probably my three favorite horror films on the 'Flix.

Also As Above So Below, despite having a lackluster ending, scared the life out of me.
