The show never got supernatural in the real world, did it? (that is, the story tellers lives).

If my memory serves me correct, no. The only time anything bled over into the real world was if they were pulling a small prank on each other after the story was done.

I think the closest they came was in the two (or three?) parter The Tale of the Silver Sight when Gary was investigating something in his own life.

I remember going to the studios around the time of this, we got to watch them shoot an episode of Gullah Gullah Island, it was VERY exciting seeing the Polliwog in person
