Lol I'm probably one of 123 people who didn't mind The Mummy (2017). I know the critics went hard, but it was just as -average- as all the previous Mummy's were /shrugs. Plus it made money $410M to $195M cost. After my MCU marathon earlier this year leading up to Avengers Endgame I'm kinda comic book-ed out tho.

It didn't make money. You have to consider marketing costs. Most films have to double their budget just to break even.

I kinda wish the Creature From The Black Lagoon would get a remake. Guillermo Del Toro worked on one a while ago, but nothing came of it - except for maybe "The Shape of Water."
