Remember the ill-fated DARK UNIVERSE franchise that rebooted after 1 movie (I, FRANKENSTEIN...or was it THE WOLFMAN) and is currently in limbo after 2017's THE MUMMY was a bust?
It still lives... a little bit. Just like Leigh Whannell's upcoming INVISIBLE MAN movie, DARK ARMY will be made in a rather Blumhouse /modern DCEU style; People who like the material making their movies vaguely connected to something Universal can slap a brand onto.
The movie will feature original characters and some Monsters from Unversal's classic monster library.
Fun fact; Universal still owns the film rights to the abomination that was THE VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT movie.
