I started binge-watching this this summer but I got sick of the love triangle. I'll finish season 3 at some point and start 4.

This show is suffereing the same fate as Being Human (UK). Both shows are absolute magic when they put their 3 protagonists in the same room. The actors' dynamic completely sell it, but for whatever reason, the script keeps splitting these characters apart.

I liked season 1, disliked most of season 2, really liked most of season 3.... and yet season 4 can't seem to keep my interest.

TV Jesse is just so dislikeable compared to the comic version. And I didn't like how they changed that hedonist funhouse (can't remember what it was called) or the kid Jesse saved. I still like Tulip and really like Cassidy, mostly due to their respective performances.

The show is turning into an angst fest of Tulip and Cassidy reeling Jesse's power trip in, and I hate it. It's refusing to admit Cass and Tulip are kickass in their own way and Jesse is that toxic friend who's dragging them down.

Exactly this.

I keep wondering if the show made Jesse so unlikeable on purpose or if it was an accident. In the comics, Cassidy was the toxic friend and it was easy to root for Jesse/Tulip, but I'd hate for TV!Tulip to end up with TV!Jesse. If there *has* to be a coupling by the end of this season, let it be Tulip/Cassidy. The two of them can ride away to new adventures and leave Jesse to his righteous power-trip.

I need to know if Cassidy does that terrible thing that he does in the comics before I commit to watching this...
