I think a lot of it is that she doesn't have to. A lot of it for me is how much she pushes the "I'm a real artist, respect my art" narrative, then is licensing her songs and her image out to credit card commercials. She has more than she will ever need, yet is desperately pushing to top herself revenue/chart wise and not growing as a musician.
Taylor really could be a member here. She's pushing 30, out of touch with the youth, but still trying to drop that slang. But she's also keeping all of the swifties stunted too. It's all very weird.
