Kirby Howell-Baptiste is everywhere on TV these days, from Barry to The Good Place to Killing Eve to Veronica Mars. She currently stars in Why Women Kill, and attended the premiere wearing a mostly thrifted look, which she says is reflective of her day to day fashion choices.

Yea there are no good thrift place near me (or many in general), the goodwill is pretty far and sucks. There's a new goodwill drop off close to me but IDK where those clothes actually go.

Ughhhhh the blazer selections in thrift stores can be so hit and miss but when they're a hit, they're a hit! I legitimately still have this grey corduroy blazer that I got in the 7th grade and it still fits me pretty perfectly somehow. I think it's from the late 80's, early 90's.

I love thrifting but a lot of Savers have been closing around my area for some reason
I honestly enjoy watching thrift videos on YT (not necessarily clothing though)

The only thing I don't like buying second hand are shoes tbh, they tend to form to the foot/gait of whoever else wore them before.

I just got a Stella McCartney sweater on TheRealReal. I swear all their stuff that's labeled as "very good" condition with slight wear always looks brand new to me still.

And I wish I had the patience to resell stuff but I just donate everything.

how much did you end up paying for it? and how discounted are the prices on that site?

It was 120 with an extra 20% off (which seems to always be a thing, but there are exclusions) but then 12 dollar shipping. The prices depend on condition and resale value, some brands are more coveted and the discounts aren't that great (I'm curious about the monogrammed stuff selling for such high prices still, like the Goyard bags). I usually only shop there if I'm looking for something specific and you need to check it pretty frequently in that case.

Also the chance for some nasty foot fungus.

The only time I got shoes from a thrift place they were new in the box.
