There really isn’t anything quite like it when it comes to live-action releases. It was meh but it was unlike all the other meh (Godzilla: King of Flops, Hobbs and Shaw - Wild Speed, X-Men: The Last Stand - Roman Reloaded The Re-up).

Oh God, they're remaking the direct-to-video sequels now??

Although honestly... this might be the way to go. At least over remaking all their Disney Renaissance movies, which were amazing to begin with so remakes will always be inferior (except for something like Mulan which really lends itself to live action so I'm looking forward to that one). Like they can actually improve the video sequels.

That's how I feel about Hunchback getting a remake, it's one of my favorites but it's definitely one of the more flawed Renaissance movies. Granted IDK if Disney really understands what they got wrong with it lol.

I hope they make it closer to their musical.

One of the reasons Hunchback has never (and probably will never) make it to Broadway is because the producers wanted to keep the darker ending and Disney was like 'nope' and they couldn't come to an agreement at all so the transfer stopped.

I don't know if Disney would change their minds now or not.

I would love for my girl Kiara to get some big screen time but not if it's with another National Geographic documentary.

Hm, if that happens I'd like her adult version to be voiced by Anika Noni Rose.

Are they saying it'll actually be Return of Jafar, or just another Aladdin movie?

He mentions return of jafar by name in the full quote

He's saying people have been asking them to remake RoJ, but only that they're talking about making another Aladdin movie, not that they're going to specifically remake that one.

i reckon it'll be like the first movie, mostly taking elements from the story but changing it around. given how much the ending for aladdin changed and would affect the original return of jafar (aladdin/jasmine already married, she's sultan, genie's human etc) i'm sure it will be different but not that dramatically so
