Fave Austen: Persuasion by far
Fave adapation: I have a thing for the 2005 Pride and Prejudice

I read Sandition but can't remember it tbh, which is strange cause I usually remember my Austen's

persuasion is my fave as well. the '07 version is my fave adaptation followed by the romola garai/jonny lee miller emma. and the felicity jones northanger abbey.

matthew macfadyen was SO miscast and terrible in the '05 P&P it ruins it. it's a shame bc all the other casting/scenery/music was great. (except that scene at the end of him walking to her at dawn was bad).

for me Persuasion is the most romantic, Emma is the most fun to read, and Pride & Prejudice is good for a first Austen read.

i will always love the Keira Knightley P&P ♥_♥ so misty and gorgeous, plus Keira really captured Lizzie youthful dumbass spirit imo.

but my fave adaptation is Emma with Romola Garai - it's gorgeous and funny.

looking forward to Sanditon! is that really what the plot would have been had she finished the book?

lady susan wasn't my favourite (either the book or the adaptation with Kate Beckinsale), so hopefully this is better!

"Sandition" makes it sound like a crossover between an austen adaptation and a US political thriller lol

Yesss Austen post! I am literally sitting on my couch watching 1995 P&P as we speak. It's always my OG adaptation.

Persuasion is my favourite book but none of the adaptations I've seen clicked for me - I love Rupert Penry-Jones as Wentworth but Sally Hawkins was a bit too gaspy.

I also love the Felicity Jones Northanger Abbey and Romola Garai's Emma. Excited to watch this adaptation!

Also I saw this Tumblr post the other day ranking Austen men by how good they'd be in bed and it's amazing - https://lucaskieran.tumblr.com/post/151179063963/how-good-the-austen-men-would-be-in-bed

Felicity as Catherine, and Romola as Emma were both really good. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed those adaptations.

Watch the 2009 Emma with Romola and Emma Thompson's Sense and Sensibility, if you haven't seen those ones!

Also it's P&P but Lost in Austen is hilarious.
