The new Haim song is a different sound for them... not sure if I like it yet. Will have to listen again.

Not one of Sleater-Kinney's better songs, but it's fine.

Lol @ that choice of cover for Juliana Hatfield... I like The Police a lot, but that particular song has always made me laugh with that goofy ass chorus.

I only like a couple of MMJ songs, and I don't think this is gonna join the list.

This week, I've been listening to a lot of The Great Comet OBCR, Harry & The Potters and Better Oblivion Community Center. Gonna see BCCC again next week and I can't wait, I love them. They have a second gig like an hour away and I am debating going to that one, too, but idk - it's far, and I am lazy.

i agree. i like the video and i'm not sure if i'm starting to like the song because of the video. people hear what they see...

i'm still looking forward to the album even though i know it'll be a departure for them. someone else mentioned and i agree that i think carrie had an outsized influence on a lot fo the creative choices for this album--probably even hiring st. vincent as the producer, but i'm still excited.

😆 i completely agree, but it's from her upcoming police cover album, which i'm definitely looking forward to much more than the bird & the bee's van halen cover album despite the inexplicable feature from beck.

(go to the gig--don't be a me and not go support an artist you appreciate because of laziness/feels)

did you listen to bonny light horseman? it's a supergroup of anaïs mitchell, josh kaufman from the national and hiss golden messenger, eric d. johnson from fruitbats, and produced by aaron dessner.

I hadn't listened, but I am glad you suggested it, I really like it!!! I am a sucker for folksy shit, I like Anaïs, and it seems like the other people involved are all pretty excellent. The dudes from The National have sooooo many different side projects!

Listening to Clairo's album. It's chill music but I expected more since she is an industry plant and she has connections up the ass.

I wasn't until Haim's new song on first listen but I like it now. Reminds me of 90s Matilda soundtrack and it gets stuck in my head throughout the day.

hopefully the spotify thing worked, if not: your records by sucre. sucre's been releasing some good songs this year, wish it was a full album tho.
