it's probably the weather. i'm ready for summer to be over and it just won't go away.

not a song, but clairo's album is probably my favorite because i've been waiting for it since last summer and she did not disappoint.

I actually really like Clairo's album. I wasn't a fan of her ep or Pretty Girl (or the whole probably being an industry plant thing) but Rostam's production is beautiful and puts her voice to the front. Bags is by far her best song and I'm surprised she released it first.

I've been into Caroline Polachek and Angel Olsen recently and can't wait for their albums.

i had no idea she was an industry plant, but it would make sense. i'm fine with it as long as she isn't problematic.

Clairo's album is ok for me so far. I enjoyed all of her pre album songs. I like the production but her voice is so bad and incomprehensible in some songs. I can't believe her producers were ok with the mumbling. I agree that "Bags" is the best song and a great first single choice. I love an industry plant so I'm curious how far she'll go.

Seriously considering ditching their gig even tho I already bought tix. The new interview Carrie and Corin did confirms this is gonna be the Carrie show all the way. Just make a fucking solo album sis. She tried getting Corin and Janet nekkid for the promo shoot too (the one where they wear macs and Carrie has her whole ass out) and they were both like hell no so I'm getting why Janet peaced out tbh.

Every month this year I've picked out about six or seven albums, including a new release and listen to them through at least three times. Last month, I listened to Igor by Tyler the Creator and I really liked it. I've never listened to one of his albums before. My new release for this month is Five by White Lies, because last month I jammed to Tokyo nearly everyday.

omg! i need to revisit five. it didn't stay with me, but i think that's because i was expecting too much after big tv and ritual which is my fave.

have you heard the ritual remix album or "the power & the glory" three track single? my favorite song by them is the wax stag remix of "the power & the glory" and it's not available on streaming anywhere it seems and sometimes i have to listen to it in my itunes to confirm that it actually exists. any way, if you get a chance, check it out.

Five has been getting the best reviews of their careers, from the critics. This decade I haven't been listening to White Lies. In high school, their debut album was my dujour, I loved their debut and I still listen to it. I love Bigger Than Us and Bad Love from Ritual. No, I haven't heard those but I'm gonna check them out! Thanks :)
