Honestly why pretend you're doing an adaptation and then depart so much from the source material? It's cause they couldn't be bothered to think of something unique/wanted to draw people who actually read the source material but still. It's so lazy.
I don’t know if I’ll watch this next season. I really liked Q, and the QxE queerbaiting was gross because they were never going to follow any of it through.
Nothing against the actress, but Alice continued to be the shittiest part of the show for me, and Q and her getting pushed back together was unbearable.
s4 was a tragic mess with maybe 3 worthwhile episodes. the last 4 episodes were an epic fuckery of character assassinations (don't even get me started on margo) and poor writing, i dont even recognize this show anymore. and tbh this sneak peek didn't get me excited, it was just shitty and unimaginative and julia deserves better and Q deserves better than to have his name brought up via the mouth of a misogynistic pig.
i'm mad that i'm probably still gonna watch s5 tho T____T
Exactly same, I know I won't be able to stay away :/ Not when Eliot and Margo still have scenes - but it would be tough to watch Eliot in a grief storyline because it's just a constant reminder of their fuckery - I'm most mad at how they knew from the start what they were going to do, wrote 4x05 anyways, did not deal with Q delving deeper into depression, and did not tell the actors who were out giving excited interviews :(
