I didn't realize lip synching just one part was an option, I thought I had to do them all simultaneously

I’ve read one review and it was really bad but it also had an “I’m going to be offended by every single thing in every single show” slant to it so idk how seriously to take it.

I may be seeing it in October either way, I got my sister and her husband tickets but they may not be able to go so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I usually hate musicals but this one was really well done.. the music orchestration, the sets, the costumes and many of the performances were really good imo.

The complaints in this review were very social justice-y. I don’t like describing it that way bc social justice is great but it’s really the only thing I can think of to use. The major complaint was that it’s toxic masculinity bc Christian shows up with a gun, because apparently showing up and throwing money on Satine saying “I’ve paid my whore” was somehow not toxic, only adding a gun is?

Idk I’ll wait until I’ve seen it. I will be seeing it whether I end up w my sisters tickets or not.

I missed the whole toxic masculinity part of that, my problem with that change was that it just didn't feel as organic as that scene in the movie. But they def wrote Christian and the Duke differently in the musical though, I think overall that was my main issue tbh.
