Based on the reviews it sounds like a very polarizing production, so very much in the spirit of the original movie which people either love or hate. Some of the song choices seem weird though. I heard an audio of Aaron Tveit singing Roxanne and he sounded great.

I saw a production of Fun Home yesterday and it was really good! I've never been a huge fan of the score, but everything was very well done. It's only playing for 2 weeks as part of Amsterdam pride, so I thought the actors did an excellent job with the short rehearsal time they had.

what broadway play have you seen recently?

i haven't been to a show since straight white men last year, but i want to see frankie & johnny in claire de lune, and hadestown.

whose part do you lip sync for your life in "lady marmalade"?

Aaron Tveit (one of the leads) has a tag, OP.

I saw this in its limited run and it was awesome, though the story beats were kind of weak. I hope they improved that part of it for Broadway. The choreo and staging is ~spectacular.

I also saw Tootsie in Chicago and loved it. I'm a big fan of Santino and I think he deserved the Tony win, though what they performed at the Tonys didn't really show that IMO.
