its VERY cheesy, but i think she was just too charming and ~real~ for him to resist and she reminded him of when he wasn't an asshole with daddy issues or whatever ridiculous motivation they gave for him being a mergers and acquisitions psychopath.

I had never seen this until last year and it enraged me the entire time. Which is frustrating bc Vivian is actually a pretty cool chick and Julia looked so beautiful, but the plot just makes me wanna scream
