Ugh at nepotism.

You heard me, Nicolas "Cage."

I recently learned he took the last name Cage from Johnny Cage of mortal kombat

Actually, it was from Luke Cage himself, before anyone knew who that was.

wow that is some bullshit. as someone who works at a library located downtown the quickest way to rile up librarians is to start talking about parking.

(it doesn't help that the city claims our lot is "city parking" when they need it for festivals but the "library's problem" if there's an abandoned car or something. but i digress.)

'Lost in Translation' came onto Netflix and I watched it for the first time in years. It did not age well. Whereas in my youth, I related to Scarlett's character, I now find her and Bill Murray insufferable in the film.

I'm scared to watch Marie Antoinette because I liked that too ... but I know I'm just going to be blinded by the beautiful sets and costumes and the film itself will suck with age.

I was actually watching Marie Antoinette yesterday and I liked it and understood it better than when I was it at 17. Personally I was used to the standard historical period piece~ type of filming so back then I was kinda 🤨🤨🤨 when I first saw it. Add to that, I saw a video by screenprism ("the take" now) and they mentioned that's she more a visual/feeling type of director so I get her style a little more now.

I think my biggest issue with Sofia's films is pacing. I think she draaaaaags the mood out sometimes and plot may get bogged because of that.

The only Sofia Coppola movie that aged well for me is Somewhere. The story is relatable for all people of all ages, I think. Although I believe it’s one of her least popular movies.

MTE on LiT. I used to LOVE that movie but I re-watched it again for the time in ages and was like both these assholes can leave.

people get so dramatic over street parking. if you need a dedicated parking spot, pay for it.

Where I live there is no parking to pay for and it's right by the beach so it can be harrowing. Not nearly as bad as some I've seen.

lol there are like 3 places you might be able to do that in nyc

Lol what? There are about a million garages where you can pay $50/day $600/month. Not that many people can afford that so OPs comment is ridic, but there is tons of parking you can pay for.
