Where I live there is no parking to pay for and it's right by the beach so it can be harrowing. Not nearly as bad as some I've seen.

i'm pretty sure people who live in the west village and can afford to own a car can also afford to put it in a garage. instead they're using public parking spaces like their own personal garage, and then complaining when they are slightly inconvenienced.

Let's not forget alternate side parking where you have to move your car for an hour and a half every other day.
