I started at Entertainment Weekly pre-launch, in 1989. Most people said it wouldn't last a year. It lasted 29. Working there with some of the brightest, sharpest, funniest people any journalist could ever hope to know was a joy. >

Working at Entertainment Weekly was a dream job.
It ended for me today, but I want to thank all of you who read, watched, listened or shared. ❤️

I was a senior in high school when Entertainment Weekly launched and it was love at first sight. I dreamed of someday working there. I still can't believe that dream came true. Also: It's not dead! It's going monthly. (But it feels like a death.)

I've subscribed to
@EW for 25 yrs. It was my first entry point into the industry. I remember, as a kid in Sacramento, laying in bed and devouring every word of every issue and learning what I wanted to do with my life. So a big true thank you to everyone at
@EW over the years. <3

I drank the flat champagne in the fridge and should go to bed, but one more thing: It meant the world to me to be part of the
@EW fiction roundup, because I've loved and read the magazine for so long. Long may it wave, if less often. Thanks to the staff there for everything.
