When he was on David's podcast, he said something about getting David the job on Good Omens, which, if true, I thought was a really tacky thing to say on the man's own podcast. Or at all, really.

how close of an adaptation is this? Good Omens is my fave book ever, and i hope to gods above and below that this is at least close enough.

I'm not done with it yet, but Neil wrote and showran the whole thing and said he was fiercely protective of it because he wanted it to be what Terry would have wanted. There's a decent amount of new material/characters based off a book sequel they were working on together (and I thought everything new was absolutely amazing and a natural fit; it really fleshes out Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship), but nearly any important scene is pretty much adapted exactly word for word from the book. If you love the book, I think you'll be thrilled.
