I think the most famous death in horse jumping was due to a heart attack, not broken legs, and the horse was 15. It’s not super common, not like in horse racing

My mom competed in show jumping. One of her horses retired at 18 and lived to be 40

I remember that horse! He was ridden by Lamaze, and the horse was named Hickstead. He was a beauty. Ot was heartbreaking to watch how the horse actually got to his knees quite gently

Horse racing and dog racing needs to be banned, but of course idiot Doug Ford decides to throw millions into supporting the horse racing industry in Ontario...because he's horrid

yea, you'd think most people would at least have more of a problem with dog racing since dogs are pets. Greyhound racing was just banned in Fl late last year.
