Saw Shazam in Imax last night. So fun and for being 2 hours +, it never dragged. It was the first time in a while, I didn't see anyone start using their cellphone mid movie out of boredom.

omg, I am really glad cellphones are not a thing I see regularly at the theater, I'd stop going! that's so fucking rude.

SO many people were using cellphones when I saw Us, some on them almost the entire time. I'm glad it was the second time I saw it or I would have been super pissed.

That meme or Texts from Superheroes or whatever has ruined me. I can't hear or think of Shazam without the mental image of Batman racing in, screaming, "DIBS!" at the realization Shazam is a superpowered orphan child.

I'm seeing it tonight!

From the preview, I wasn't interested-- but now I'm psyched to go.

I don't like they changed huge details, and although the orig movie is dated- Fred Gwynne was PERFECT as Judd. And the book was awesome.

I've been avoiding all the teasers and promo spots after the first trailer, so I don't know what they've changed. I think the original holds up. It's brutal, but I think that's what makes it such a classic. I agree that Fred Gwynne was perfect in the role. And Dale Midkiff was a babe. The sequel with Edward Furlong and Anthony Edwards was a choice though lol
