- Last december Tumblr decided to ban porn against suggestions. People praised the initiative to end pedophilia but banning every single kind of nude is not the answer.
- The 'porn algorythm' was a mess, flagging posts that had no nudity or that did not violate community guidelines.
- The announcement of the prohibition of adult content on Tumblr was met with immediate criticism from artists and photographers in the LGBTQ+ community, who felt the move would disproportionately affect queer people, since a lot of queer content got mistakenly flagged as NSFW.
- People have ditched the social network. Tumblr went from 520 million to 370 million users. That means they lost 150 million users, (1/3 of it's traffic) in just 2 months.
