I know I'm in the minority (in real life not on ONTD lol) but I really hope A Star is Born ends up pulling an American Hustle and doesn't win hardly anything. While the movie wasn't as dull as American Hustle, it isn't revolutionary or anything.

I'm still so confused why everyone loved it that much. Then again, I've felt that way about most Oscar nominated films the past few years.

1. Bradley Coopers great acting.
2. Lady Gaga’s (singing) talent.
3. Great original songs.
4. Emotional ending performance.
5. Ally’s nose.

I really liked the film. For one, I thought Gaga's acting was great and was surprised to read ONTD's comments, the final song tugged my heartstrings and the relationship drama was engaging. I didn't think there was anything revolutionary about it, to me it was a very solid, well-acted movie.

But speaking of revolutionary, I think critics are getting too psyched by finally seeing good actors in horror films. The actors in A quiet place and Heredetary were great, but the films were forgettable and the stories mediocre.

Also, fuck the shaky cam in The first man. Fuck it.

I saw it in IMAX because I figured that was the 'best' way to do it, but it still made me feel nauseated even though I was in the absolute back row. aaggghhh
