I watched Beale Street the day it premiered but I don’t feel like it’s Best Picture worthy. It was just nice.

Also I don’t feel like Rami was that outstanding in Bohemian Rhapsody.

yeah, beale street didn't resonate with me emotionally for some reason... the colors and score are so beautiful but the narrative felt sparse.

When I saw the first list I thought maybe this was it and Glenn Close was finally going to start building up momentum again but then she wasn't even a runner up in the other awards. Fuck! What does this woman have to do?

I was supposed to volunteer at the Houston awards show last night as part of the art museum’s film department volunteer crew but thanks to local paratransit being dicks (canceled all Pre-10am non- dialysis/chemo/etc related trips due to the weather and then they refused to do same-day rescheduling for those of us whose trips where cancelled🤬) I was stuck at home all day and I missed this and my morning volunteer shift(also, at the art museum for their winter break art activities) I know it would have been kinda boring since you can only hand out programs and give out directions to the bathroom so many times before you lose your mind but other than mistakenly giving an award to ASiB (I haven’t seen it but the previous versions of the film we’re really good so this one can go kick rocks tbh) , I am all for their picks.
