I haven't even seen it yet (March 7 😭) but I can't believe Beale Street is being so overlooked apart from Regina. Do I blame Annapurna?

I’m blaming Annapurna. I know they’re spending good money to advertise Beale but I feel like all their awards campaigning, especially the closed-door industry event stuff, has all been in favor of Vice. Maybe that’s to combat the more mixed press (Barry’s obv only getting raves) but they’ve drastically overcorrected imo

Lol it did actually come out here but only at one theatre and not for very long, and I just didn't get many opportunities to see it. I almost went, but as I was planning it I saw that it was hitting Amazon Prime on the 4th so I figured I'd just wait.

i watched a bunch this week. My youngest nephew stayed with me, so we watched movies:
House of Horrors: Gates of Hell - just a bad b horror movie.
Venom: sorry not sorry but i fucking enjoyed it
Cloverfield: one of my favorites! my nephew didn't care for it and my bf thought it was ok but i love it

then i watched a few movies for the ONTD challenge:

Eyes of Laura Mars

If you can handle found footage (it gets really shaky/dizzy) and like monster movies lol then I rec Cloverfield! it's just really well done.

oh my god i LOVED searching. so did my bf and we almost never agree on movies LOL! it was so engrossing and loved all the plot twists. John Cho is such a good actor, I hope he does more thriller type stuff.
