This show is stunning. There are a few things I hope they've fixed, but really the production is so extra it doesn't matter.

I just saw Karen Olivo in Fun Home a couple of times and she was perfection as always (+ looks hot af with her undercut and Alison Bechdel styling).

Another adaptation, meh. I saw Anastasia on tour recently and while I loved many of the new songs, I felt so disappointed by the meh quality of the book. :/ In some key scenes they would have been better off just sticking to the movie script. I did appreciate the switch from Rasputin to Comrade Javert-Frollo though. ;)

I also recently listened to "The Band's Visit" and wondered how many years we will have blah musicals winning that aren't as good as the other musicals nominated for 2017 that were snubbed. *Sigh*

Yay for Denee, damn, that makes me want to try to see Hamilton again in NYC! She would be amazing. (Also ironic, given the Hamilton crossover with Oak before).

Yeah, I thought Anastasia was kind of meh, glad we won lottery seats for that one.

And omg, yes, I am so excited for Denée and crossing my fingers I can score some tickets to see her!! She legit made me cry just seeing her sing in TGC, her voice is beautiful.

Yeah, My Fair Lady sold out when I was in the city a few weeks back and I saw Anastasia instead and it was... Meh. I liked the costumes.
I also saw The Lifespan of a Fact and while I really enjoyed it, it felt incomplete? Almost like half a play. There were several things left unexplored that could have fleshed it out more. Cast was amazing, though.

At least The Band Visit is much more worthy than any musical coming out this season (unless Hadestown actually transfers)
