The country star posted a throwback photo to Instagram Saturday, which shows off her post-accident scar on her upper lip.

The photo is from the filming of her music video for "Love Wins," which was released on September 11

I tried to imitate my father shaving when I was three with a lint shaver and have a big scar under my lip, and then my grandparents' dachshund bit me on my eyebrow when I was 5 and my eyebrow has a gap LOL.

Also, cystic acne scars galore.

Lol shit. My dad gave me a little saw so I could join him in the garage and I ended up cutting my finger. I have a nice scar from that too

I don't really see anything. I see it now. It took me a minute. She's still very pretty.

I have surgical scars all around my abdomen that are all noticeable. I also have a burn scar on my arm that are two perpendicular lines. If kids ask, I tell them a raptor attacked me and they believe me.

Basically, I'm pale as fuck so I scar with EVERY thing.

I remember when this first happened, she said something like "my face is going to look completely different" and she had everyone believing that she had been catastrophically mangled and then the almost... disappointment? that came out when she wound up looking exactly the same lol

It was a big deal to her. You can probably imagine what 40 stitches on the face post-accident look like if you try.

The lack of empathy here for someone who has to live with a scar on her face when her face is a huge part of her livelihood and her identity is astounding.
