Do we need another Channel Orange though? I think it's one of the best LPs this decade but I don't think Frank is interested in repeating himself. I was really mad at him for the fuckshit Blonde rollout so I wasn't giving the album a chance for a long time but now when the dust has settled I think it's on the same level as Channel Orange (if not better)

I have a huge problem with straight Frank Ocean stans. The use him as a token LGBT artist and say the worst shit justifying it by having him in their playlists. He's like the Freddie Mercury of 2010's
I guess that's because they grew on the edgy OFWGKTA shit but even fucking Tyler the Creator grew up already yet his audience can't. The amount of delusional people still ignoring numerous clues he's at least bi explaining it by him being an edgy troll and thinking that one vid where he sucks a tit is a legit proof he never dabbled in buss
I'm glad Frank did this and I know he's too lowkey to do something about his fanbase but it would've been everything if he posted a fuck you note to homophobes on his Tumblr next time he releases something
PS: Endless really growing more and more on me this year for some reason, the 1-2-3 punch of At Your Best, Alabama and Mine is something else, especially the last one, it's almost Steve Reichian, Arca truly did that.

Same. It's common in a lot of scenes but I feel like a lot of labels don't see this concept for Top 40 pop cause a one-off single is not attached to anything and can steal momentum from an era (unless it's a downgraded lead single, we all know those). Some of the biggest hip hop hits of the streaming era at least stated as one off singles (but are usually then added to a project to boost numbers lol)
