She's been arrested a lot for drinking and driving (she got fired from Lost for that) and has a habit of breaking probation and getting sentenced to jail time, so it could interfere with her working.

Mostly I've just been called loud, which I am, but only when there's room for it, opposed to the fellas that talk over you because they think they can make the point you were working towards.

She was called difficult to work with because she's a woman. A drinking problem, a DUI, associations with drugs barely even slow down or dent the careers of men. Hell there are men who have those same qualities that are still seen as 'family men'.

Include that with the fact that she's latina and the racial stereotypes associate with latina women.
Stop giving credence to a proven racist and sexist industry when they are being called out by one of their own.

I do think actors with drinking problems or addictions are probably legitimately difficult to work with but women are still held to a different, higher standard. Fucking Charlie Sheen managed to book a sitcom after the 2 1/2 Men drama. RDJ got multiple comebacks until one finally stuck. Johnny Depp is still working and has people going to bat for him all the time. Ben Affleck won't have a problem booking work when he's ready. Women don't get those second or third chances and that's sexist and unfair.

Vince Neil killed someone while he was drinking and driving. That didn't slow down Motley Crue.

Yea the problem is that men who are hard to work with aren't given the same flack or taken to task when they should be.
