Jim sucks!!!

Smith was a better boyfriend than Aiden IMO. I still get misty when he shaves his head for Sam. Harry is also a great boyfriend.

I held back on Steve because of the wtf left turn his character took in the first movie, but I think we all agree that the movies aren’t canon.

Honestly, they started making weird character choices for him during the third season. He went from this smart bartender to this guy who is a doofus watching Scooby Doo.

Jake Peralta is the only one that comes to mind. But now I'm thinking about it, is he even that great?

i'd put him at #2 with ben wyatt as #1. ben is so supportive of leslie. reels her in if need be but is also kinda down to clown if leslie is adamant. jake is great to amy but jake tends to be an ott screwball which is fine for the show but in terms of relationships imo it knocks him down a peg.

I don't really agree that Jake and Amy are an example of that trope. I think it could easily have been, but Jake is an excellent detective, and to counter Jake's character flaw of immaturity, Amy can be neurotic and overly fixated. I think the show did a great job of letting the women have faults along with their strengths and be entertaining as well as strong and funny, and never let Jake's goofiness get in the way of him being a good detective or a good person.

Ben is number one for me. Marshall never really forgave Lily for leaving and held it over her head the rest of their relationship.

Not to forget it was pretty much Marshall's fault they broke up since he didn't trust Lily enough to come back to him 3 months later.

But why should he have to wait for her to come back to him? She wasnt just saying she’ll be gone for three months, she was literally breaking up with him to go do her own thing not even knowing what it was yet and if things changed for her she might not have even come back

So much love for Cory Monteith but...Finn Hudson is not "Best Boyfriend" material. He had a lot of good boyfriend moments but the writers constantly derailed his character development for the sake of drama. Also Ben Wyatt > Marshall from HIMYM. Marshall isn't even in the competition it goes Ben Wyatt, and then Jake Peralta. End of list.

finn was a terrible boyfriend lmfao. if he wasn't cheating on a girlfriend, he was helping her cheat on her partner, he was constantly lying to them and being a passive aggressive jerk towards them like... lets not kid ourselves.

He was the worst and that was fine in the first season when all of Glee had a way darker Election-esque tone.

They decided to include the "stay away from my future wife" line in this video like? That's one of the lowest moments in s4 of Glee, a season filled with low moments. He was sweet when the plot demanded, but everyone's characterization on that show was fucked
