The OC debuted on Fox on August 5, 2003. It lasted until 2007 and gave us Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, as well as all the Real Housewives of X City shows

2007 I was sophomore in highschool

You should! It does go downhill by the end, but it really kicked off the whole teen series trend of the 2000s.

American Eagle had some maybe 2 years ago and I feared for their comeback. But I don't think they entirely caught on? Instead mom jeans did, and they had to clearance out all the flares lol. As long as they keep offering skinny jeans, I'm good.

Flared jeans can really make a good 70s outfit tbh. Light denim with a thick belt, and some mustard yellow or teal somewhere in the outfit.

This thread reminds me of when Mary Kate and Ashley made fashion predictions in an interview in the early 00s and predicted that skinny jeans would come back and waists would get higher. The audience gasped and were nhft lmao look at us now
