Amy Jade Winehouse (1983 - 2011) died of alcohol poisoning 7 years ago today (a death that was exacerbated by a heart condition resulting from years of addiction and bulimia), making her another name on the list of the "27 Club" (I didn't want to write she was a 'member' of the club, it just sounded bad and weirdly encouraging of this sad

It’s hard to think about how YOUNG she was. I remember reading a lot about her in the local paper (I lived in Barnet) and just loving her as soon as I heard her on the radio. Amy was so special and the way she and Britney (and to a much lesser lesser extent Lindsay) were talked about when they were going through it was just heartbreaking to read. Anyway love her forever and ever. I hope she’s at pwace.
