I’ve been listening to my favorite murder for a week or so now, I’m on ep 12. They’re so funny and I like how it’s not dead ass serious all the time

i think sabrina's dead. that case has haunted me for years, but i don't think someone took her and raised her. but then again. i never thought i'd find out what happened to kamiyah mobley.

I just googled Kamiyah Mobley. That’s bananas. I’m glad for her family

i live in jax and i remember my mother's hairdresser (and other people years later) saying that she was payment for a drug debt. at least her birth family has closure, but it's not a happy ending. kamiyah/alexis and her birth mother don't speak and her family doesn't like that she won't cut contact with the woman who kidnapped her.
she was on iyanla earlier this month, and it was messy.

Oh man, all of that is really awful.

I love true crime, but we need to branch out from the Manson Murders. Helter Skelter can't be beat IMO and everything else lacks something.

I'm tired of Ramirez/Bundy/Dahmer

I wish Netflix would do a show on H.H. Holmes. I know there's a movie and I think there's a show on some network, but I feel like that could do really well with a Netflix show that was framed a bit like Devil In the White City.

Yeah I would like a devil in the white city movie (aren’t they making one?) I think it would be a lot easier for me to follow the worlds fair shit in television format for sure

I feel like Ramirez hasn’t had as much exposure as the other two but I agree, they need to give them a rest. Simpson/Anthony/Arias/Peterson specials are overdone at this point too

Am I gonna get shit if I say the "true crime" genre doesn't really appeal to me because I feel like it kinda glorifies the criminals and crime itself?

i'm torn on true crime as a whole. i feel like it's important to boost little known cases or help identify jane does or to keep people updated on certain cases. i also feel like it does branch out on exploitation (i don't like how a lot of the new shoes on ID network re-enact murders, for one) and glorification of serial killers.

the title of that podcast is what keeps me from listening to it.

I love true crime and I’m a sucker for anything regarding cults. I’m really interested in a Manson/summer of ‘69 film - and not one involving Hilary Duff or Kate Bosworth.
