One thing that's forever wild to me is the way grown ass men get applauded for ~maturing~. I mean, throughout our entire lives we're always learning new things and maturing in new ways - but shit like this about statutory rape, harassment, assault, etc should be baseline stuff! It speaks to how so many men whether young or old have no fucking clue about the basics of sex and consent. Girls and women have to learn these things at a young age just to survive while men get to walk around being gross trash well into their fifties and beyond. I am rambling here but it's all so exhausting.
