Thank you for this post OP! I found the Italian cast a couple weeks ago and was raging that they seem to have gotten a non-Muslim, non-hijabi(and Instagirl-ish) white girl for Sana. They should have just made her a different character lmao. At-least the French version seems to have added some poc to the cast, I'm here for a black, Muslim Sana!

I'd honestly watch tf out of these versions if they had just come up with different characters (or names at-least). Lowkey still will probably check them out if translations are done out of curiosity.

The American version is the one I'm most nervous about, it could go either amazing (with Julie) or horrible, and it's bound to be a big hit as it's one of Facebook's first series and in English.

The original will always be the best. <3

Edit: Oh and to answer your question OP France def did better! The Italian version seems like they just got a bunch of "hot", social people in their early 20s.

They did change the names though, but all just according to what would be considered 'normal' names in their countries.

Yeah I just realized that, still wish they just went with completely different names. :/

I haven't seen this series :((((((( but I'm still interested in watching em some day.

I want one set in Barcelona and everything else, oh and maybe Seoul would be really cooler too omg. Plus I want an Afro-Asian character either a lead or costar in this series tbh, why is that hard to ask for? Lol...

The french side ofcourse. Don't get Italy's logic in casting a non-muslim (?), seemingly caucasian (or is).. for the role of Sana.. A character that is rooted with her background and all. Italy's Noora though.

But why though? Skam was based around their Norwegian culture. Will they have their own version?

apparently the french switched up the russebuss with a "disco bus", who knows what that will be lol. the penetrators are a basketball team, so theyre probably leaving out the groups like they have with the bus tradition.
