reminds me of the brandon lee incident, i don't think the actor was held responsible. she had a reasonable expectation that the prop department did their job, so these producers are stupid or looking to blame her for their failures

They probably had a squib under his shirt/in place so when the fake knife made contact, it broke and he "bled"
